Job summary

Holiday Inn Perth City Centre is seeking an Assistant Night Manager for the overnight shift (11pm–7am). You will support the Night Manager in overseeing hotel operations, focus on safety and guest satisfaction, and handle night audits with accuracy.

The role suits someone who enjoys nights, numbers, and leadership in a supportive team setting. Responsibilities include guest interactions, emergency response, and ensuring smooth check-ins/outs, plus assisting with night audit processes and loyalty

Qualifications

• 1 year of front office experience in a hotel, with exposure to reception and night audit procedures
• Knowledge of Opera PMS for hotel operations and night audit tasks
• Accounting and mathematics skills for accurate auditing and payment processing
• Strong problem solving and time management skills to handle multiple tasks
• Good written and verbal communication; capable of interacting with guests professionally

Responsibilities

• Support the Night Manager to manage guest experiences and hotel operations during overnight shifts
• Be the first point of contact for critical emergencies in the Night Manager's absence
• Process payments (room charges, debit/credit, cash) per procedures
• Complete check-ins/check-outs per hotel standards and handle wake-up calls
• Engage with guests to resolve issues, queries, or concerns
• Run night audit process on PMS (Opera) or manual equivalents
• Promote and enroll guests in IHG One Rewards loyalty program
• Collaborate with Reservations, Sales and F&B to deliver guest experiences
• Prepare food and beverages for room service from overnight menu
