The Extend Group is hiring an OSHC Relief Service Assistant in Ballarat. You will support after-school and vacation programs across Ballarat Central, Creswick, Mount Pleasant and beyond, delivering engaging activities and safe, inclusive experiences for children.

This casual role offers afternoon shifts (3:00 pm–6:00 pm), up to 5 shifts per week, and attractive hourly rates with super. Training and development are provided, plus substantial discounts and flexible scheduling to fit your life.

Job Details & Role

About your service: Enjoy the variety and flexibility of working across our fantastic Ballarat cluster! You’ll have the opportunity to support services in Ballarat Central, Creswick, Mount Pleasant, Soliders Hill and beyond, making a real impact while broadening your OSHC leadership experience.

Hourly Rate: $36.01 - $45.71 Per Hour + 12% Super.

Additional payment of $1.58 - $1.97 per hour available under Worker Retention Payment Scheme.

• Hours: Monday to Friday availability preferred.
• Timings: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
• Work up to 5 shifts per week for After School Care.

• Vacation Care: Flexible 30 Hours per week.
• Contract: Casual.
• Professional development sessions are paid training sessions, and Retention payments are above award.

As our OSHC Relief Service Assistant you will:

• Create Awesome Experiences: Assist in delivering science experiments, sports tournaments, fun educational activities and creative arts that kids actually want to do!
• Safety First, Fun Always: Lead a safe, inclusive environment while every child feels like a rockstar.
• Chef it up: Whip up healthy, tasty snacks that keep the energy levels high.
• The Community Connector: Ensure every stakeholder is heard and valued while building successful, integrated OSHC programs.

What You Bring to the Mix

• The Qualification: You’ve got (or are studying toward) a Certificate III in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care, Diploma, Bachelors, Masters and more. Check with us if your qualification is approved!
• The Vibe: You’re warm, engaging, and have a "can-do" attitude.
• The Essentials: A valid Working With Children Check, Child Protection Training Certificate, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management (willingness to obtain).
