Job summary

Extend Group is seeking an OSHC Relief Service Assistant to provide after-school care logistics across Ballarat communities. The role is casual with afternoon hours, typically 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and opportunities to work up to five shifts per week, supporting programs in Ballarat Central, Creswick, Mount Pleasant, Soldiers Hill and beyond.

The position emphasizes creating engaging activities, maintaining safety, and delivering healthy snacks while connecting with families and schools to deliver

Qualifications

• Has or is studying toward a Certificate III in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care; Diploma, Bachelor or higher may be considered.
• Willingness to obtain Working With Children Check, First Aid and CPR certifications if not already current.
• Demonstrates warmth, engagement and a can-do attitude.

• Create engaging OSHC experiences including science, sports, fun educational activities and creative arts.
• Lead a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
• Prepare healthy, tasty snacks to keep energy levels high.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver integrated OSHC programs.

About your service: Enjoy the variety and flexibility of working across our fantastic Ballarat cluster! You’ll have the opportunity to support services in Ballarat Central, Creswick, Mount Pleasant, Soliders Hill and beyond, making a real impact while broadening your OSHC leadership experience.

Hourly Rate: $36.01 - $45.71 Per Hour + 12% Super.

Additional payment of $1.58 - $1.97 per hour available under Worker Retention Payment Scheme.

• Hours: Monday to Friday availability preferred.
• Timings: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
• Work up to 5 shifts per week for After School Care.
• Contract: Casual.
• Professional development sessions are paid training sessions, and Retention payments are above award.

• The Qualification: You’ve got (or are studying toward) a Certificate III in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care, Diploma, Bachelors, Masters and more. Check with us if your qualification is approved!
