Job summary

The Extend Group in Bowral is seeking an OOSH Relief Service Assistant to support Before School Care and After School Care across Bowral and Tahmoor. You will work casual shifts with 6:45 AM start and 2:30 PM finish, contributing to engaging activities and a safe, inclusive environment.

Applicants should have a relevant qualification and a positive, engaging attitude. Training and development opportunities are offered, with retention payments above award.

Qualifications

• Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) required.
• First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma management training (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with early childhood or school-aged care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create Awesome Experiences: assist in delivering science experiments, sports tournaments, fun educational activities and creative arts for kids.
• Safety First, Fun Always: lead a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
• Chef it up: prepare healthy, tasty snacks to maintain energy.
• The Community Connector: engage stakeholders and build integrated OSHC programs.

About your service: Enjoy the variety and flexibility of working in our fantastic service at Bowral! You’ll have the opportunity to support services across Bowral and Tahmoor making a real impact while broadening your OOSH leadership experience.

Hourly Rate: $37.58 - $47.68 (Including Worker Retention Payment Scheme) + 12% Super.

• Before School Care: 6:45 AM- 8:45 AM.
• After School Care: 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
• Days Required: Monday to Friday. 3-5 shifts fortnightly.
• Vacation Care:Up to 30 hours per week. (only include if vac is offered at school).
• Contract: Casual.
• Professional development sessions are paid training sessions, and Retention payments are above award.

What You Bring to the Mix

• The Qualification: You’ve got (or are studying toward) a Certificate III in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care, Diploma, Bachelors, Masters and more. Check with us if your qualification is approved! (Desirable but not required).
