Job summary

Good Samaritan Catholic Primary School in Roxburgh Park is seeking an OSHC Service Assistant to help deliver engaging activities and safe, inclusive care after school. You will support science experiments, sports, arts, and educational games while ensuring children’s safety and well-being.

You will prepare healthy snacks, build positive relationships with children and families, and contribute to integrated OSHC programs with other staff and educators.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood or equivalent is preferred.
• WWCC and Child Protection Training are required or willing to obtain.
• First Aid & CPR qualifications, Anaphylaxis & Asthma management knowledge (willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Create engaging activities and experiences for children, including science, sports, arts and educational games.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
• Prepare healthy snacks to support energy and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with families and staff to deliver integrated OSHC programs.

Job Details & Role

About your service: Good Samaritan Catholic Primary School, Roxburgh Park.

Hourly Rate: $37.59 - $47.68 (Including Worker Retention Payment Scheme) + 12% Super.

• Days Required: Wednesday and Thursday.
• After School Care: 3:15 pm to 6:00 pm.
• Vacation Care: Up to 30 hours per week.
• Contract: Casual.
• Professional development sessions are paid training sessions, and Retention payments are above award.

What You Bring to the Mix

• The Qualification: You’ve got (or are studying toward) a Certificate III in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care, Diploma, Bachelors, Masters and more. Check with us if your qualification is approved!
