Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services (SCECS) is hiring an Assistant Coordinator to create a safe, engaging OSHC environment for children in the Eastern Suburbs, 76 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday, term time only. You will act as the Responsible Person and guide families and staff to deliver high‑quality education and care.

The role requires a qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards it), OSHC experience, valid NSW Working with Children Check, GECCKO

Qualifications

• Requires a qualification (or working towards one) in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) is preferred.
• Valid NSW Working with Children Check is required.
• Mandatory GECCKO child safety training completed.
• Child protection training certificate required.
• First Aid Certificate required.
• Current and valid working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the Responsible Person for the service.
• Ensuring a safe and inclusive OSHC service for staff and children.
• Managing children’s attendance and bookings to maintain supervision and safety.
• Supporting design and implementation of engaging educational programs.
• Building strong relationships with families and the school community.
• Sharing children’s experiences and achievements with families.
