Job summary

Junior Adventures Group is seeking an Assistant Coordinator for our Helping Hands service in Holland Park. You’ll lead a team of Educators and oversee an after-school program for children aged 5-12, focusing on engagement and safety.

You’ll design lively activities (STEM, sport, cooking, arts), manage rosters and compliance, and mentor staff while building strong relationships with families and school communities to support program growth.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a Diploma qualification in a relevant field, or at least two years of full‑time study towards an ACECQA‑approved qualification
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
• Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact
• Communicates clearly and confidently
• Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role
• Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check
• Has Australian work rights

Responsibilities

• Design and help lead a vibrant, child‑centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts
• Assist with rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration
• Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver
• Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive
• Be supported by an experienced Coordinator and Regional Manager, so you’re never doing it alone
