Job summary

Extend OSHC servicing Nazareth Catholic College in Findon, SA seeks an OSHC Service 2IC for term-time, part-time permanent employment. You will plan engaging activities, lead a safe and inclusive environment, and mentor staff while collaborating with school leadership.

The role includes healthy meal prep, ongoing training, and involvement in a Vacation Care program with flexible shifts during school holidays. A qualifying Diploma or degree is required, plus essential child-safety certifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care (or studying toward).
• Valid Working With Children Check and related child-safety certifications.
• First Aid/CPR and Anaphylaxis & Asthma management (willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Plan and program engaging activities (science experiments, sports, arts) for kids.
• Lead a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
• Prepare healthy snacks to maintain energy levels.
• Support the service coordinator and engage with the Programs Engagement Manager on quality and compliance.
• Build strong relationships with children, Educators, families, and school leadership.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the service to ensure smooth running.

About your service: Extend OSHC at Nazareth Catholic College

Location: Findon, SA

Position: Permanent Part-Time Position (Term-Time)

Salary: $66,808.56 Package (Per Annum Includes Superannuation, Allowances and The Worker Retention Payment)

Role:

• Before School Care: 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
• After School Care: 2:15 PM to 6:00 PM.
• Monday to Friday (28 hours and 45 minutes per week).
• Be a part of our exciting Vacation Care program, with up to 6-hour shifts available during school holidays.
• Paid administrative time and regular training and development opportunities.

Your Impact: Key Responsibilities

As our OSHC Service 2IC you will:

• Be the Visionary: You’re the boss of the service! You’ll plan and program epic science experiments, sports tournaments, fun educational activities and creative arts that kids actually want to do!
• Safety First, Fun Always: Lead a safe, inclusive environment while every child feels like a rockstar.
• Chef it up: Whip up healthy, tasty snacks that keep the energy levels high.
• Mentor & Mobilise: Motivate your team by empowering them to lead with confidence and fostering a shared commitment to enriching every child’s experience. You will also assist the service coordinator.
• Champion Quality: Work with your Programs Engagement Manager on Assessment & Ratings with the full backing of our compliance experts at our unit TEG Compass.
• The Community Connector: Ensure every stakeholder is heard and valued while building successful, integrated OSHC programs.
• The Clockwork Catalyst: Manage the day-to-day "business" of the service, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
