Job summary

King’s Baptist Grammar School in Mount Barker is seeking an OSHC Service Coordinator for their after-school program. You will plan activities, lead safety-focused programming, and manage day-to-day operations. A warm, engaging demeanor and relevant qualifications are essential.

The role includes before/after school care responsibilities, with a casual contract and pay per hour in the AUD range, plus superannuation and retention payments.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor/Master’s in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching or School Aged Care, Youth Work, or related fields.
• Valid Working With Children Check and First Aid/CPR/Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management (willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead OSHC service activities including science, sports, and arts.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive environment for children.
• Prepare healthy snacks to sustain energy during activities.
• Collaborate with Programs Engagement Manager and compliance team.
• Engage with families and leadership to build integrated OSHC programs.
• Manage day-to-day service operations to ensure smooth delivery.

Job Details & Role

About your service: King’s Baptist Grammar School, Mount Barker.

Hourly Rate: $47.81 to $50.00 Per Hour + 12% Super.

Additional payment of $2.07 to $2.15 per hour available under Worker Retention Payment Scheme.

• Days Required: Monday to Friday. Five days per week required.
• Before School Care: 6:30 am to 8:30 am.
• After School Care: 2:35 pm to 6:00 pm.
• Total Hours: 27 hours 5 minutes per week.
• Vacation Care: Up to 30 hours per week.
• Contract: Casual.

• The Community Connector: Ensure every stakeholder is heard and valued while building successful, integrated OSHC programs.
• The Clockwork Catalyst: Manage the day-to-day “business” of the service, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
