Job summary

Indigo HR is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join a new specialist orthopaedic practice, establishing systems and workflows from day one. The role involves coordinating clinics and admin across SAN Wahroonga, Westmead/Norwest, with hybrid work options and future focus on broader practice management.

In time, a Medical Secretary will join to allow you to concentrate more on operations, processes and growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Practice Manager role from the outset with responsibility for establishing systems, processes and workflows.
• Experience in coordinating clinics and day-to-day administration across multiple sites.
• Ability to work from home up to three half days per week with hybrid flexibility.
• Long-term growth: role evolves to focus more on practice management.
• Experience with medical billing and practice administration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating specialist consulting clinics
• Managing appointments and practitioner diaries across three locations
• Communicating with patients and responding to enquiries
• Coordinating procedures, hospital admissions and theatre‑related administration
• Managing medical correspondence and patient documentation
• Billing and general medical administration
• Liaising with hospitals, referrers and other healthcare providers
• Keeping the specialists organised and ensuring important follow‑up happens
• Using Gentu across appointments, patient information, and day‑to‑day practice administration
• Helping establish templates, systems, processes and workflows
• Identifying opportunities to improve administration and patient journey
