About You

You will already have experience managing a busy medical practice, specialist clinic or comparable healthcare environment and be comfortable taking genuine ownership of its day-to-day operations.

You are someone who notices what needs to be done and gets it done. You can move confidently between managing a staffing issue, reviewing a roster, resolving a patient-flow problem, checking financials and coordinating with a surgeon or external stakeholder.

  • Demonstrated experience in practice management, ideally within a specialist medical or surgical environment
  • Strong people leadership skills and experience managing administrative teams

  • Confidence interpreting practice metrics and identifying operational issues or opportunities
  • Experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures and compliance documentation
  • Strong systems capability and confidence learning and implementing new technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong judgement, discretion and professionalism when dealing with confidential or sensitive matters
  • Exceptional organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work autonomously

Experience within orthopaedics, surgery or another specialist medical environment will be highly regarded.

What We're Looking For

Above all, we are looking for someone who can own the role.

This position will suit an experienced Practice Manager who enjoys being close to the day-to-day running of a clinic, takes pride in creating an organised and high-performing environment, and doesn't wait to be told what needs attention.

You will have the autonomy to make a meaningful impact on how the practice operates, supported by an experienced leadership team and a group of highly regarded specialist surgeons.

If you are an experienced Practice Manager looking for a hands-on leadership role within a growing specialist practice, we would love to hear from you.
