Job summary

Team Global Express in Cardiff, NSW is seeking a Night Shift Operations Supervisor to lead depot operations on Sunday night through Friday morning from 11:00pm to 7:00am. This permanent full-time role focuses on staffing, safety, KPI performance, and cost control within a busy express parcels operation.

You will coach staff, manage freight movements and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering high service levels for customers.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or leadership experience in transport, logistics or warehousing.
• Experience leading and coaching operational teams.
• Strong communication and people management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Good problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Understanding of safety and transport compliance requirements.
• Experience managing KPIs, productivity and performance.
• Strong planning, organisation and time management.
• Ability to coordinate labour and equipment to fit operations.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Experience in freight, parcels or transport ops is advantageous.

Team Global Express has an exciting opportunity for a Night Shift Operations Supervisor to join our Express Parcels team based in Cardiff, NSW.

This is a permanent full-time night shift position, working Sunday night to Friday morning from 11:00pm to 7:00am.

What you’ll do

• Lead and supervise the day-to-day depot operations
• Coordinate staffing, labour and equipment requirements
• Lead, coach and support employees across the operation
• Manage productivity, service levels and operational costs

• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
• Investigate service failures and lost or damaged freight and follow through on corrective actions
• Coordinate freight movements and linehaul activities
• Support the efficient loading, unloading, sorting and movement of freight
• Ensure compliance with safety, transport and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with the wider team to ensure customer service expectations are met

What you’ll bring

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience within transport, logistics, warehousing or a similar operational environment
• Experience leading, coaching and motivating operational teams
• Strong communication and people management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment
• Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Understanding of safety and transport compliance requirements
• Experience managing KPIs, productivity and operational performance
• Strong planning, organisation and time management skills
• Ability to coordinate labour and equipment based on operational requirements
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience within freight, parcels or transport operations will be highly regarded

Licences and qualifications

• Current Driver’s Licence
• Forklift Licence will be highly regarded
• Dangerous Goods, HSE and Risk Reporting experience or qualifications will be advantageous
