Job summary

Team Global Express is seeking an experienced PM Operations Supervisor to join our team in Dry Creek, SA. This full-time role reports to the Operations Manager and runs Monday to Friday, 1:30pm–10:30pm.

You will lead day-to-day PM operations, coordinate the team, freight and resources to ensure a safe, efficient shift that meets customer expectations. You will supervise, coach and support staff, manage freight movements and ensure compliance with safety, transport and operational requirements

  • Minimum supervisory/leadership experience in transport/logistics.
  • Strong communication and people management skills.
  • Understanding of safety and transport compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing KPIs, productivity and operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day PM shift operations.
  • Coordinate staffing, labour and equipment requirements.
  • Lead, coach and support employees across the operation.
  • Oversee freight movement, loading, unloading and dispatch activities.
  • Manage productivity, service levels and operational performance.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with procedures.
  • Investigate service failures and follow through on corrective actions.

About the Role

Team Global Express is seeking an experienced PM Operations Supervisor to join our team based in Dry Creek, SA. This is a full-time permanent position, reporting to Operations Manager and working Monday to Friday from 1:30pm to 1030pm. You will take a hands‑on approach to leading the day‑to‑day PM operations, coordinating the team, freight and resources to ensure the shift runs safely and efficiently. You will lead and support the team while maintaining a strong focus on safety, service, productivity and meeting customer expectations.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the PM shift.
  • Coordinate staffing, labour and equipment requirements.
  • Lead, coach and support employees across the operation.
  • Oversee freight movement, loading, unloading and dispatch activities.
  • Manage productivity, service levels and operational performance.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with procedures.
  • Investigate service failures and lost or damaged freight and follow through on corrective actions.
  • Coordinate freight movements and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, transport and operational requirements.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure customer service expectations are met.
  • regular tool boxing staff and pre shift meetings.
  • equipment maintenance scheduling for service and breakdown.
  • Making sure equipment is up to date with maintenance.
  • assisting Operations manager in managing freight solutions area.
  • any other suitable duties directed by Operations manager.
About You
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience within transport, logistics, warehousing or a similar operational environment.
  • Experience leading, coaching and motivating operational teams.
  • Strong communication and people management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced and time‑sensitive environment.
  • Good problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Understanding of safety and transport compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing KPIs, productivity and operational performance.
  • Strong planning, organisation and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate labour and equipment based on operational requirements.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Previous freight or transport experience will be highly regarded.
  • Experience Managing equipment maintenance including truck trailer service and breakdown scheduling or willing to learn.
  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • Forklift Licence will be highly regarded.
