Job summary

Coates, Australia's leading equipment hire and solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator for a 12-month parental leave contract based at the Eagle Farm branch. You will coordinate equipment, logistics and day-to-day operational activities while delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience within the equipment hire, construction, industrial or related industry.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to coordinate equipment, logistics and operational activities in a busy environment.
• Sound administrative and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Hands-on knowledge of small plant equipment and general mechanical aptitude.
• An understanding of major construction projects and site requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with customers, contractors and internal teams.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Commitment to safety and compliance in everything you do.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating end-to-end mobilisation of shutdown crews, including onboarding, approvals and site compliance.
• Managing medicals, training, inductions and compliance documentation to ensure workforce readiness
• Coordinating travel, accommodation, transport and site access requirements
• Scheduling and coordinating hire equipment, logistics and customer requirements
• Providing exceptional customer service and advice on equipment solutions
• Raising and managing purchase orders, invoices, timesheets and related administration
• Maintaining workforce and operational data, reporting and compliance records
• Supporting contract delivery through document control and administrative coordination
• Assisting with equipment servicing schedules, audits and HSEQ requirements
• Building strong customer relationships while maintaining a Safety First culture at all times.
