Job summary

Apex Masonry is seeking a hands-on operations coordinator to support both Apex Masonry and Apex Freight Solutions. You will work directly with the Director, Production Manager and factory team to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, from planning and purchasing to inventory and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating purchasing, purchase orders, supplier relationships and stock replenishment.
• Researching supplier pricing, availability and delivery options.
• Managing supplier orders, deliveries, returns, credits and shortages.
• Supporting WHS requirements, PPE management, workplace inspections and corrective actions.
• Coordinating vehicle, forklift, equipment and workshop servicing and maintenance.
• Maintaining inventory, yard and storage systems.
• Coordinating pallet recovery and reporting associated savings.
• Maintaining accurate operational data and preparing weekly and monthly reports.
• Supporting 5S, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identifying operational issues and working with management to develop practical solutions.

Job description

This is a hands-on operational role supporting both Apex Masonry and Apex Freight Solutions, working closely with the Director, Production Manager, Financial Controller, factory team, workshop, suppliers and customers. The successful candidate will play a key role in keeping day-to-day operations running efficiently, from production planning and purchasing through to inventory, fleet, workshop coordination, WHS and operational reporting.

Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating daily operational requirements across manufacturing, freight, workshop and administration.

Working with management to plan and coordinate production schedules and resources.

Monitoring production performance, downtime, waste, seconds, quality and production targets.

Coordinating purchasing, purchase orders, supplier relationships and stock replenishment.

Researching supplier pricing, availability and delivery options.

Managing supplier orders, deliveries, returns, credits and shortages.
