Job summary

St Nicholas seeks an OOSH Coordinator and Educational Leader to establish and run a brand-new out-of-school-hours service at Catherine McAuley Primary School in Medowie, NSW. You will oversee operations, recruit and mentor staff, and work closely with the school Principal to ensure a high standard of care and education.

The role is 35 hours per week, permanent part-time, with a mix of split and block shifts, operating 6.30am to 6.00pm, including Before/After School and Vacation Care.

Qualifications

• Be willing to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under NSW laws.
• Demonstrated ability to implement the My Time Our Place Framework for School Aged Children as Educational Leader.
• Proven administrative, parent/community liaison, staff development and mentoring experience.
• Experience managing a budget for an OOSH or Early Education service.
• Understanding and applying WHS legislation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of the OOSH service and lead a team to provide high quality education and care.
• Work with the Principal and St Nicholas to establish and operate the new service from ground up.
• Recruit, resource and enrol families for the service; manage shifts and hours (6.30am–6.00pm).
