Job summary

St Nicholas Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle Edgeworth is seeking an OOSH Coordinator and Educational Leader to oversee after-school and vacation care programs for children aged 5–12. You will lead a dedicated team, ensure high-quality education and care, and maintain compliance with NSW regulations.

The role offers permanent part-time hours (35 per week) with potential split or block shifts, focusing on balancing service quality with staff development and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven ability in administrative procedures, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training
• Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation
• Demonstrated knowledge of CCS (childcare subsidy system) and ability to perform software for compliance
• Prepared to be Nominated Supervisor under relevant legislation
• Demonstrated ability to support My Time Our Place Framework for School Aged Children with centre curriculum
• Experience in budget management for an Early Education or OOSH Centre

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of the service and lead a team to provide high-quality education and care
• Support and guide staff to implement the CCS framework and centre curriculum
• Engage with families and the community to ensure ongoing quality
• Ensure compliance with NSW safeguarding standards and mandatory training
