Job summary

Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle invites applications for an OOSH Coordinator and Educational Leader at Catherine McAuley Primary School, Medowie, NSW. You will oversee Before and After School sessions, Vacation Care, and lead a new service from the ground up.

The role is 35 hours per week, permanent part-time with mixed shifts, commencing Term 4, 2026. Remuneration is $46.12 per hour plus Worker Retention Allowance, superannuation and an Educational Leader allowance of $2.42 per hour.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in school age care or children's services.
• Current Working with Children Check and First Aid.
• CPR certification and Child Safe training or willingness to obtain.
• Experience implementing the My Time Our Place framework for school-aged children.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of the OOSH service and lead a team.
• Implement procedures, budgeting and parent/community liaison.
• Recruit, resource and enroll families; interview processes.
• Collaborate with Principal and St Nicholas across service areas.
