Job summary

GenesisCare Maitland is seeking a friendly Patient Services Officer (Medical Receptionist) to join our Oncology centre. You will welcome patients, coordinate appointments, manage referrals, and support billing and records with care and discretion.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, medical reception, or a customer service role.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Caring and empathetic approach when interacting with patients and families.

• Confidence using computer systems and learning new technology.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, families, and visitors with professionalism and warmth.
• Coordinate appointments, manage clinician diaries, and respond to enquiries.
• Receive and process referrals accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and maintain patient records and administrative documentation.
• Support billing, fee estimates, Medicare processing, and private health fund transactions.
• Liaise with clinicians and the wider care team to support daily operations.
