Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Ballarat, VIC, seeks a hands-on Retail Building Operations (Facilities) Manager to maintain shopping centre performance, safety, and customer experience on-site daily.

You will manage building systems, coordinate contractors, maintain budgets, and ensure OH&S compliance while building trusted relationships with retailers and tenants in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualificações

• Proven experience in shopping centre operations or facilities management with a strong understanding of compliance requirements and industry best practice.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, prepare financial forecasts, and deliver cost‑effective operational outcomes.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, plant and equipment, and maintenance protocols within a retail property environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise reports, correspondence, and technical documentation for diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experience using property management or facilities management software.
• Valid driver's license and a clear police record, particularly in relation to financial or other relevant offences.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships with retailers, contractors, clients, and internal teams.
• Experience in contract administration, tendering processes, and project management within a retail property environment.

Responsabilidades

• On the Ground Every Day: Walk the centre daily, check plant rooms, car parks and common areas; spot issues early and fix quickly.
• Keep Things Running: Maintain building systems and coordinate contractors to ensure uninterrupted operations and safety.
• Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure fire safety, essential services and OH&S compliance across operations.
• Build relationships with retailers through regular face‑to‑face contact and keep them informed about planned works.
• Budget & Planning: Assist Centre Manager with budgets and capital works planning.
