Job summary

Workforce Extensions Geelong is seeking an experienced Level 1 IT Support Technician for a full-time opportunity based in Colac, Victoria. You will be part of the site's IT function, delivering day-to-day technical support across a busy production environment.

This on-site role focuses on hands-on assistance with desktops, mobile devices and production hardware, providing guidance and resolving issues while collaborating with IT peers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' IT support experience.
• Tertiary IT qualification or working toward one.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
• Practical hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
• Experience supporting end users and resolving technical issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to communicate with people across different areas and levels of a business.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation and time-management skills.
• Current driver's licence.
• Previous exposure to manufacturing/site-based environments would be highly regarded but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day Level 1 technical support to end users
• Supporting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripherals
• Providing support for hardware used within the production environment
• Diagnosing and resolving common hardware, software and operating system issues
• User account administration, including password resets, user provisioning and access management
• Supporting Microsoft 365, ERP and other business applications
• Logging, categorising, prioritising and documenting incidents and service requests
• Communicating with users throughout the troubleshooting and resolution process
• Providing guidance to users on the effective use of systems and technology
• Escalating more complex technical issues to the appropriate internal resources
• Working within established IT security, access control and change management procedures
