Job summary

The Salvation Army in Geelong, VIC is seeking a Housing Support Worker to provide case management for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. You will work within the Specialist Homelessness Services team to deliver person-centred support and collaborate with key services to achieve the best outcomes for clients.

Reporting to the Team Leader, this fixed-term full-time role is based on-site in Geelong and contracted until September 2027.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work or related field.
• Experience with vulnerable people.
• Ability to work collaboratively to achieve goals.
• Respect for diversity, values and beliefs.
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
• Working with Children Check required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough client assessments and develop holistic case and housing plans.
• Provide client-focused case management through advocacy and outreach.
• Manage client intake, orientation, and exit planning.
• Complete administrative tasks including case notes, data entry and reporting.
• Contribute to a safe, collaborative team environment and adhere to OHS standards.
