Job summary

RMIT is seeking a Facilities Officer to support day-to-day operations for the College of Vocational Education. The role focuses on facilities and technology services, including staff onboarding, asset management and issue resolution across multiple campuses from the Melbourne CBD base.

You will work with the Planning & Resources team to maintain equipment, spaces and resources for staff, delivering responsive service and practical problem-solving in a diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Experience providing admin, operational or customer-focused support within a large and complex organisation.
• Strong digital literacy and confidence working with technology, systems and equipment.
• Ability to learn new systems, platforms and processes quickly.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, including maintaining accurate records and managing competing priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication with a focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests submitted through RMIT's service management systems.
• Assist with ordering, delivery, setup and replacement of technology equipment and assets.
• Maintain accurate asset records, documentation and registers.
• Support staff onboarding through workplace technology and furniture provisioning.
• Assist with technology refresh activities and asset lifecycle processes.
• Support facilities projects, space management and minor works initiatives.
• Collaborate with staff and support teams to resolve operational, facilities and technology issues.
• Provide responsive customer service to staff within the College.
