Job summary

Meriton Suites currently has an opportunity for a Night Manager in one of our Sydney properties. You will represent the hotel in the absence of the Hotel Manager, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of guests and staff.

You will greet guests, manage and train staff, handle complaints, and oversee front desk operations. The role requires a calm, proactive leader with excellent communication and a passion for guest experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain clearance for National Police Check.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Professional presentation and a strong guest-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests and manage check-in/check-out procedures.
• Manage and train hotel staff to ensure service standards.
• Handle guest complaints and ensure timely resolutions.
• Ensure frontline desk tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Attend to guest inquiries, requests and follow-ups as required.
• Prepare and set up for the following day’s operations.
• Complete guest accounting and related administrative duties.

About the Role

As the Night Manager you will represent Meriton Suites in the absence of the Hotel Manager. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all guests and staff.

Your key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome our guests, including following check-in and check-out procedures
• Manage and train staff
• Handle complaints and ensure resolutions
• Ensure relevant front desk tasks are actioned and completed
• Attend to guest enquiries, requests and follow-ups, if required
• Prepare and set up for the following day
• Complete guest accounting

To be successful in this role you will

• Be able to provide clearance for National Police Check
• Be confident and able to work under pressure
• Be proactive and able to make decisions autonomously
• Professionally presented
• Possess a genuine passion for guest and colleague experience
• Be well organised with a meticulous eye for detail
• The ability to cultivate a positive team culture
• Have excellent verbal communication skills
• Have full availability to work a 7-day rotating roster
