Meriton Suites is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager for our Surfers Paradise hotel. You will oversee daily operations of the Housekeeping department, work with the Housekeeping Manager and Hotel Manager to maintain high standards in suites, public areas and back of house, with a clear career progression pathway.

Assistant Housekeeping Manager - Surfers Paradise

Meriton Suites is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to our celebrated Surfers Paradise hotel.

About the Role

As an Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth daily operation of the Housekeeping department. You will work closely with your Housekeeping Manager and Hotel Manager to maintain the high standard of appearance that is required, this includes in the suites, public area’s and back of house. You will work in a professional environment which includes a clear career progression pathway.

Your key responsibilities

Daily allocations of rooms and duties.

Supervision of alltraining of staff.

Co-ordination of workforce to meet daily deadlines.

Delivering efficient preparation, cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms inaccordance with Hotel standards and guest expectations.

Effective time management capabilities with amethodical management style.

Attend to guest enquiries and requests.

To be successful in this role you will

Have experience in a similar role.

Have a proven track record in providing excellent accommodation standards in a large scale 4- or 5-starhotel or serviced apartment environment.

Have proven leadership abilities.

Possess in depth industry knowledge.

Have a natural eye for detail when it comes to cleanliness and the overall operations of housekeeping.

Be immaculately presented.

Have full availability to work a 7-day rotating roster.

Focused and passionate about guest service.

Team oriented and able to work under pressure.
