The Fullerton Hotel Sydney is seeking an experienced Night Manager to lead the overnight Front Office team and manage day-to-day operations of the reception and lobby.
You will supervise night audit processes, oversee check-in/check-out, and ensure guest satisfaction with superior service in a 24/7 environment.

As the custodian of Sydney's 151 years former General Post Office, this luxurious hotel is surrounded by Sydney's premium shopping, renowned restaurants, theatres and bars. The hotel offers impressive event and banquet facilities featuring a 15 different conference spaces, featuring two ballrooms including the only pillarless grand ballroom in the city, which can accommodate up to 1,000 guests for a seated event, as well as the Heritage Ballroom: a true embodiment of Victorian style. Housed in the former Sydney Telegraphic Centre, our venue features an impressive 11-meter-high domed ceiling. Its pillarless design provides flexible configurations, accommodating up to 350 guests in theatre style, 250 in banquet format, or 160 in classroom setup. From inside, guests can view a large window showcasing the inner mechanisms of the building's iconic little brother clock, and views overlooking George Street.
The Night Manager will play a crucial role to lead the evening and overnight front office team and manage day to day operations of our reception and lobby.
Our Front Office team is responsible for ensuring our guests receive efficient and superior service throughout their stay from our 24/7 Front Desk.
You will be a genuine night owl, reliance for ongoing overnight shifts!
Lead night team members, maintaining communication, performance standards, and adherence to operational policies and procedures.
Oversee check-in and check-out procedures, maintaining accurate guest accounts and records using Opera PMS.
Responsible for the overnight operation and acting as the senior first point of contact when required.
Night audit process, and conduct Night Auditor duties while on shift.
Work collaboratively with Housekeeping, Reservations, and Maintenance to ensure rooms and guest needs are prepared and delivered accurately.
Monitor any suspicious activity and maintaining hotel security and safety standards throughout the night.
Ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly in absence of Housekeeping, GSA, Room Service available.
Be an expert on the hotel and surrounding area, have a sense of the local to exceed guest expectations.
Ensure all credit and financial transactions are handled in a secure manner.
Process overnight financial transactions accurately, including all revenue postings, adjustments, payments, and end-of-day audit audit functions in PMS.
Conduct coaching, counselling, monitor performance, conduct and accountability of all Front Office team members working during the overnight operations.
Proven overnight leadership experience in a 5-Star luxury hotel.
Experience in Opera PMS.
Familiar with hotel emergency procedures.
Current Full Drivers Licence (NSW), Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate, First Aid certificate is a must.
A degree in Hospitality Management or other relevant field is required.
Strong accounting, reconciliation skills.
Professional verbal and written communication skills and personal presentation.
Thorough follow-up, strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Ability to delight guests and provide superior levels of service.
Available to work overnight shifts on rotated roster.
