Job summary

Meriton Suites Surfers Paradise is seeking an Assistant Night Manager to support the Night Manager and represent the brand when the Hotel Manager is absent. The role focuses on guest safety, service quality, and smooth overnight operations at a premier Surfers Paradise property.

The successful candidate will lead front desk activities, manage staff, handle guest inquiries, and ensure issues are resolved promptly while maintaining Meriton's high standards of hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Support Night Manager in overall supervision of the hotel
• Represent Meriton Suites in the absence of the Night Manager's days off
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all guests and colleagues
• Greeting and welcoming our guests
• Management and training of staff
• Check-in and check-out of guests
• Complaint handling and resolution
• Ensuring relevant front desk tasks are actioned and completed
• Attend to guest enquiries, requests and follow-ups if required
• Preparation and set up for the following day
• Guest accounting
• Auditing
• Occasional covering of AM/PM shifts when required

Meriton Suites currently has an opportunity available for an Assistant Night Manager to join our dynamic Surfers Paradise property.

About the Role

As the Assistant Night Manager you will support the Night Manager to represent Meriton Suites in the absence of the Hotel Manager. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all guests and staff.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Support Night Manager in overall supervision of the hotel
• Solely represent Meriton Suites in the absence of the Night Manager's days off
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all guests and colleagues
• Greeting and welcoming our guests
• Management and training of staff
• Check-in and check-out of guests
• Complaint handling and resolution
• Ensuring relevant front desk tasks are actioned and completed
• Attend to guest enquiries, requests and follow-ups if required
• Preparation and set up for the following day
• Guest accounting
• Auditing
