Job summary

SPTECH, a Melbourne-based MSP, is seeking an IT Support Engineer to install, maintain and service IT environments for clients. The role is based at our Narre Warren office with travel across Melbourne and CBD (radius 50–80km).

You will engage with customers remotely or on-site to support desktops, printers, and servers. The Successful Applicant will have 2+ years in IT support, 2–3 years supporting Windows desktops, and hold a valid Australian driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of IT support experience.
• Experience with Windows desktops (2–3 years).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test and maintain Windows OS and application software.
• Deliver technical support remotely or onsite across Melbourne metro.
• Resolve issues related to Microsoft core business applications and OS.
• Provide general IT advice to clients and users.
• Liaise with hardware vendors and IT staff for issue resolution and warranty claims.

As an IT Support Engineer you will perform activities associated with installing, maintaining and servicing IT environments and computer-related products, including but not limited to desktop & laptop computers, printers, network devices and servers remotely or at customer locations.

This role is based at our Melbourne south-east office in Narre Warren (VIC 3805) however you may at times have to travel to customer sites all across Melbourne & CBD. (radius of about 50-80km from the office)

In this position you will be expected to:

• Deliver support for clients either remotely or onsite across Melbourne-metro
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Resolve technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems.
• Provide general IT advice to clients
• Liaise with hardware vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and warranty claims.

The Successful Applicant will:

• Have good English communication skills both in person and over the phone.
• Have a minimum of 2 years technical experience working in a similar technical role.
• Have at least 2-3years'experience supporting Windows Desktops.
• Have a valid driver's license and the legal right to work in Australia.

A current driver's license and roadworthy car are required for this role (travel allowance allocated)
