Job summary
Nerd Neighbour is seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join our Melbourne-based MSP team, delivering Level 1 and 2 support across multiple client environments. The role combines remote helpdesk work with occasional on-site visits, troubleshooting networks, endpoints and Microsoft 365 services.
You will work with senior staff on escalations and maintain accurate tickets and documentation, ensuring secure, reliable IT services for diverse business environments.
Qualifications
- Advanced Diploma or higher in IT or closely related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in IT technical support and networking across business environments.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches and wireless networks.
- Sound understanding of TCP/IP networking and fault diagnosis.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 and supporting Windows-based environments.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and escalate appropriately.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 remote and onsite technical support to business clients.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS and network issues.
- Configure, deploy and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices and printers.
- Maintain service tickets and client asset records.
- Install, configure and monitor networking and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Support Microsoft 365 and endpoint management tasks.
