Job summary

Paul‑Tec Security Group in Seven Hills is seeking an Alarm Monitoring Operator for a permanent weekend night shift (Friday-Sunday, 7:00pm–7:00am). You will monitor alarms and CCTV, assess events, and coordinate with emergency services to protect clients and assets.

No prior monitoring experience required; comprehensive training will be provided. The role offers a stable roster, on-site parking, and exposure to advanced security technologies in a supportive control room.

Qualifications

• NSW Class 1E Security Licence or be eligible to obtain the appropriate licence.
• Australian citizen with no criminal record.
• Ability to learn new technology and stay calm in incidents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms and live CCTV/video through interactive monitoring platforms.
• Assess security events and respond per procedures.
• Provide live, real-time intervention and deterrence.
• Deliver professional front-line customer service.
• Escalate incidents to the appropriate response service when required.
• Liaise with Police, Ambulance and Emergency Services.

The Opportunity

We are looking for reliable and motivated people to join our 24/7 Security Monitoring Centre in Seven Hills.

This is a permanent weekend night-shift position, working:

Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7:00pm to 7:00am

Previous monitoring experience is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Alarm Monitoring Operator, you will play an important role in protecting our clients, their people and their assets.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring alarms and live CCTV/video through our interactive monitoring platforms
• Assessing security events and responding in accordance with established procedures
• Providing live, real-time intervention and criminal deterrence
• Delivering professional front-line customer service
• Escalating incidents to the appropriate response service when required
• Liaising with Police, Ambulance, Emergency Services, patrol and rapid-response providers
• Assisting clients and members of the public during security incidents and emergency situations
• Maintaining clear and accurate records of events and actions taken
• Working closely with other Control Room team members to deliver timely and professional responses

Security Licence Requirements

Applicants must hold a current NSW Class 1E Security Licence or be eligible and willing to obtain the appropriate licence required for the position (to be eligible you must be an Australian Citizen with no criminal record).
