Job summary

Virtus Engineering is seeking a Business Development & Key Accounts Manager for the Mining & Resources sector in Western Australia. You will own new business development, manage strategic accounts, and build a profitable pipeline across multiple service lines.

You’ll leverage delivery teams to convert opportunities into long-term, value-adding projects, with strong earnings potential and autonomy in a flexible culture.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience within mining, resources, engineering, construction or maintenance services.
• Proven experience in business development, account management, commercial management or senior operations.
• Strong knowledge of the Western Australian mining market.
• Existing relationships across mining companies, contractors and/or EPC/EPCM organisations.
• Experience selling mining services, project delivery, maintenance, shutdowns, engineering or technical services.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• High levels of personal accountability and autonomy.
• A trade, engineering, maintenance, construction or project-delivery background will be highly regarded.
• Genuine credibility in the resources sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with mining companies, asset owners, EPC/EPCM organisations and other major clients across WA.
• Identify opportunities and build a profitable, long-term pipeline.
• Turn opportunities into commercially attractive, executable work with delivery teams.
• Coordinate client presentations, capability meetings and site visits.
• Cross-sell across Virtus service lines to expand client engagement.
• Develop and execute Virtus WA mining business development strategy and secure new strategic mining clients.
