Job summary

Transport Workers Union of Australia – NSW Branch seeks a Membership Assistant for our Minchinbury Office. You will be the first point of contact for members, support administration and growth of union membership, and liaise with Union Officials daily to maintain accurate records.

Role involves data processing, reports, and ensuring database integrity. Strong customer service, accuracy, and computer skills are essential; six month probation applies.

Qualifications

• Excellent phone manners and customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Intermediate computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls to assist member enquiries and update information.
• Follow up on failed direct debit payments to maintain membership.
• Process member applications and resignations.
• Monitor and action emails in the inbox.
