Job summary

InSight Systems in Melbourne CBD is seeking an experienced AV Service Technician to join the Managed Services team on a full-time basis. The role provides hands-on AV and Level 2 IT support in a large client environment, ensuring meeting, teaching and collaboration spaces operate reliably.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an AV Technician or similar role.
• Strong hands-on AV troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with DSPs, control systems, video conferencing and unified communications technology.
• Understanding of AV networking and common IT faults.
• Experience working with Microsoft and Apple environments.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage service requests and priorities within SLA timeframes.
• Strong attention to detail when maintaining tickets and technical documentation.
• A proactive, team-focused approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide AV and desktop computing support.
• Troubleshoot incidents and requests within SLA timelines.
• Use remote monitoring to identify and resolve AV issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance checks and system audits.
• Configure AV devices on networks and troubleshoot IT faults.
• Operate DSPs, control systems, video conferencing and UC equipment.
• Provide in-room AV and IT support to users.
• Manage devices across Microsoft and Apple environments.
• Maintain accurate service tickets and room records.
• Communicate proactively with clients throughout resolution.
