Job summary

Key Health Medical Practices is expanding and seeking warm, reliable Medical Receptionists to join our growing team across multiple locations in Sydney. As the first point of contact, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while delivering a welcoming, professional experience for every patient.

There are opportunities to work across multiple sites for training, development and professional growth, with pathways to Senior Medical Receptionist or Management roles.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical reception or administrative role.
• Strong customer service skills and a patient-focused approach.
• Confident using Microsoft Windows, HotDoc and general office systems.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Calm, professional communication style in busy or high-pressure moments.

Responsibilities

• Providing friendly and professional customer service to patients, doctors and the wider clinical team
• Answering phone calls, managing enquiries and booking appointments
• Patient check in, processing payments and handling front desk operations
• General administration including filing, emailing, faxing and correspondence
• Supporting doctors, nurses and practice staff with daily administrative needs
• Working closely with the reception team and Practice Manager to complete daily tasks accurately and on time
• Following practice procedures for patient results, recalls and clinical administration
• Assisting with patient triage and escalation of urgent matters where required
• Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming reception and clinic environment
• Ensuring strict confidentiality and compliance with the Privacy Act 1988
• Supporting additional tasks as directed by management or practice principals
