Job summary

Our established specialist general practice in Maroubra and North Bondi is seeking a warm, confident Medical Receptionist to join a friendly, patient-focused team. You will be the first point of contact, delivering a welcoming, professional experience across both locations.

Key duties include greeting patients, managing appointments and enquiries, handling payments, and supporting clinicians. Previous Best Practice experience and excellent communication are essential.

• Previous medical reception experience essential
• Experience with Best Practice software is highly regarded
• Able to communicate warmly and professionally with patients

Are you a warm, confident and experienced Medical Receptionist looking for a workplace where you are genuinely valued?

We are looking for a professional and personable Medical Receptionist to join our welcoming team across our established specialist general practices in Maroubra and North Bondi.

About the role

As one of the first faces our patients see, you will play an important role in creating a warm and professional experience from the moment they walk through the door.

Our clinic hours are Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 7:00pm and Saturday: 9:00am – 2:00pm.

Key responsibilities

Welcoming and assisting patients with warmth and professionalism

Managing appointments, patient enquiries and phone calls

Processing payments and private billing

Supporting doctors and nurses with the smooth running of their sessions

Maintaining accurate patient information and confidentiality

Managing a variety of administrative tasks in a busy practice environment

Working collaboratively with our reception, nursing and medical teams

About you

Previous medical reception and Best Practice experience essential

Is warm, friendly and genuinely enjoys helping people

Has a confident and professional communication style

Is organised, reliable and able to multitask

Remains calm and professional in a busy environment

Has excellent attention to detail

Is confident with technology and ideally has experience with Best Practice

Understands the importance of privacy, confidentiality and patient care

Is a positive team player who is happy to pitch in and support their colleagues
