Job summary

I-MED Radiology Network at Buderim Private Hospital is seeking a friendly, full-time Medical Receptionist. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling check-in, inquiries, and billing across private, Medicare, workers compensation, DVA, hospital billing, and private health fund billings.

You’ll support reception duties Monday to Friday, with shifts spanning early to late hours. The role involves collaboration with radiologists, clerical and technical staff, and referrers,

Qualifications

• Experience in medical imaging or private insurers/Medicare billing is advantageous.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with interventional bookings and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment servicing Hospital and Emergency Department.
• Strong organisational abilities to manage appointments and patient flow.

Join our friendly team in Buderim Private Hospital as a full-time Medical Receptionist. This role operates from Monday to Friday, with shifts between the hours of 6.30am-9.00pm.Overtime shifts on Saturdays and Sundays are also available.

As aMedical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing an important role in creating a positive and professional patient experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures.
• Answering emails and phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally.
• Advising patients of preparation prior to relevant scans.
• Billing procedures – private, Medicare, workers compensation, DVA, hospitalbilling and private health fund billings.
• Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, radiologists, and referrers.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in the medical industry, knowledge of medical imaging and/ or private insurers and Medicare billing would be highly advantageous.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with interventional bookings and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, the clinic services both the Hospital and Emergency Department.
• Strong organisational abilities to manage appointments and patient flow.
• Relevant reception experience.
• Confidence working across multiple screens and systems.
