Job summary

I-MED Radiology Network in Newtown, NSW, seeks a Medical Receptionist for a 12 month full-time contract. The role involves front-desk patient contact, inquiries, and billing across private, Medicare, workers compensation, and DVA, with shifts 8:30am–10:00pm, Mon–Fri and potential weekend work.

Job description

Our clinic in Newtown is currently seekinga Medical Receptionistto join the team. We are happy to accommodate a start date best suited to the successful candidate.

The role is a 12 month full time contract working 8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, between 8:30am – 10:00pm. With possible weekends down the track.

Role Overview:

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures.
• Answering emails and phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally.
• Advising patients of preparation prior to relevant scans.
• Billing procedures – private, Medicare, workers compensation, and DVA.
• Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, radiologists, and referrers.
