Job summary

Lake Imaging Geelong region clinics are seeking full-time Medical Receptionists to join our team. You will be the face of our organisation, delivering high standards of service to patients, referrers and the community while supporting multiple clinics across Geelong.

You will answer calls, schedule using Visage RIS, manage referrals, prepare patients with clear pre-visit information, and help optimise appointment slots.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.
• Willingness to learn medical imaging terminology.
• Excellent computer and keyboard skills are essential.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Answering calls from patients and referrers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Scheduling appointments using the Visage RIS system.
• Maximise efficiency by managing and optimising appointment availability.
• Process referrals from multi-disciplinary teams.
• Prepare patients by communicating preparation, costs and requirements clearly.

Lake Imaging, founded in 2002, has become the largest radiology provider in central and western Victoria with more than 19 clinics providing a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to the St John of God private hospitals, community-based clinics and speciality centres in Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong, and Warrnambool.

About the Role:

Working as part of a team and being the face of our organisation, we are seeking Full Time Medical Receptionists to work across our Geelong Region Clinics as the face of our organisation, as you deliver on the highest standards of services to our patients, referrers and community.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Answering Calls: Be the friendly, professional voice that patients and referrers hear.
• Scheduling: Use our state-of-the-art RIS system - Visage.
• Maximising Efficiency: Keep things running smoothly by managing appointments.
• Referrals: Action patient referrals from multi-disciplinary teams.
• Prepping Patients: Clear communication to patients informing them of preparation, costing estimates and other requirements.
