Job summary

Team Global Express is seeking an MC Driver for our Emerald depot. This permanent full-time role includes overtime opportunities and a focus on safety, timely deliveries, and professional customer service. You will conduct pre-start checks, maintain vehicles, and ensure loads are restrained correctly while upholding company procedures.

Qualifications

  • Requires a current and unrestricted MC licence.
  • Experience in a similar heavy vehicle driving role.
  • Knowledge of load restraint practices and safe use of straps/chains.

Responsibilities

  • Complete deliveries and pick-ups safely and on time.
  • Conduct vehicle pre-start checks and keep vehicles Roadworthy.
  • Restrain loads safely with straps and chains.
  • Follow company procedures and operational requirements.
  • Report hazards, near misses and incidents per processes.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and delivery documentation.
  • Provide professional customer service while representing Team Global Express.

Job description

About the role Team Global Express is currently seeking a qualified and experienced MC Driver to commence immediately at our Depot located in Emerald. This is a Permanent Full Time position offering stable employment, competitive benefits and ongoing opportunities for overtime. Key responsibilities include: Completing deliveries and pick‑ups safely, efficiently and within required timeframes Conducting vehicle pre‑start checks and ensuring vehicles are maintained in a roadworthy condition Restraining loads safely, including the correct use of straps, chains and associated equipment Following and complying with company procedures, policies and operational requirements Reporting hazards, near misses and incidents in accordance with company processes Maintaining accurate paperwork and delivery documentation Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and consistently applying safe work practices Providing professional customer service while representing Team Global Express The successful applicant will be entitled to 15% Superannuation and a Location Allowance which applies to all ordinary hours worked.

What you’ll bring
  • A current and unrestricted MC Licence
  • Previous experience in a similar heavy vehicle driving role
  • The ability to safely operate both automatic and manual heavy vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of load restraint practices and the safe use of straps and chains
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to move freight safely and efficiently
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • The ability to work independently and follow operational procedures
