Job summary

Team Global Express Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our Townsville depot. This permanent full-time role involves safely loading, unloading and moving freight in a busy logistics environment, with a 6:30am start and Monday–Friday roster.

Ideal candidates will hold a current LF Forklift License and have forklift experience in transport or warehousing, with a strong focus on safety, teamwork and reliable performance in a fast-paced setting.

Permanent Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 6:30am Start | Transport & Logistics Team Global Express is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Townsville team. This is a hands‑on role within a busy freight environment, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of freight across the depot. If you have strong forklift experience, understand the importance of safety and enjoy working as part of an operational team, we'd like to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Forklift Operator, you will play an important role in ensuring freight is loaded, unloaded, sorted and moved safely and efficiently through our Townsville depot. The position is Monday to Friday with a 6:30am start.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate forklifts to load and unload trucks and trailers.
• Move, stage and organise freight within the depot and yard.
• Sort and scan freight accurately for dispatch.
• Check freight and report any damage or discrepancies.
• Assist with general freight‑handling and depot duties as required.
• Work closely with drivers and the Operations team to support efficient freight movements.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Chain of Responsibility and load‑restraint requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

What You’ll Bring

• A current LF Forklift License – essential.
• Previous forklift experience, ideally within transport, freight, warehousing or logistics.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
• A strong understanding of workplace safety and safe freight handling.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• A current HC or MC Driver Licence would be highly advantageous, providing additional flexibility to support operational requirements when required.
• Ability to undertake manual handling as part of the role.
