Job summary

Team Global Express is seeking a Night Shift Operations Supervisor for the Cardiff, NSW depot. You will lead the night shift from 11:00pm to 7:00am, coordinating staff and resources to run safely and efficiently while delivering high service levels to customers.

You will coach and support a busy team with a strong emphasis on safety, productivity and operational performance in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience within transport, logistics, warehousing or a similar operational environment.
• Experience leading, coaching and motivating operational teams.
• Understanding of safety and transport compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the day-to-day depot operations.
• Coordinate staffing, labour and equipment requirements.
• Lead, coach and support employees across the operation.
• Manage productivity, service levels and operational costs.
• Monitor operational KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
• Investigate service failures and lost or damaged freight and follow through on corrective actions.
• Coordinate freight movements and linehaul activities.
• Support the efficient loading, unloading, sorting and movement of freight.
• Ensure compliance with safety, transport and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the wider team to ensure customer service expectations are met.

Team Global Express has an exciting opportunity for a Night Shift Operations Supervisor to join our Express Parcels team based in Cardiff, NSW.

This is a p ermanent full-time night shift position , working Sunday night to Friday morning from 11:00pm to 7:00am.

You will take a hands-on approach to leading day-to-day depot operations, coordinating the team and resources to ensure the operation runs safely, efficiently and delivers a high level of service to our customers.

You will lead and support the team while maintaining a strong focus on safety, service, productivity and operational performance.

What you'll do

What you'll bring

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment
• Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Understanding of safety and transport compliance requirements
• Experience managing KPIs, productivity and operational performance
• Strong planning, organisation and time management skills
• Ability to coordinate labour and equipment based on operational requirements
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience within freight, parcels or transport operations will be highly regarded

Licences and qualifications

• Current Driver's Licence
• Forklift Licence will be highly regarded
• Dangerous Goods, HSE and Risk Reporting experience or qualifications will be advantageous
