Optiver is seeking a Software Developer Intern to work with our experienced engineers in Sydney. In a 10-week program you’ll develop latency-critical applications and learn how technology drives our trading strategies.

You’ll receive hands-on mentoring, participate in trader-focused training, and have the opportunity to receive a full-time offer as a Graduate Software Developer if you excel.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year student in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Australian citizen or eligible to work in Australia.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design and development concepts.
• Experience with C++, Java or Python for technical assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing latency-critical trading systems and components.
• Collaborate with engineers and traders to design simple, well-architected solutions.
• Participate in training, code reviews and production deployments.
