Optiver is seeking a FPGA Developer Intern in Sydney to join a world-class training program. You will work with experienced hardware engineers to design latency-critical FPGA solutions and to accelerate trading systems.

As a penultimate student studying Electrical/Computer Engineering, you will learn from ex-traders and engineers, receive mentorship, and participate in hands-on projects that impact trading performance.

Qualifications

• Penultimate university student in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Knowledgeable in HDL languages: VHDL/Verilog and some Python/C++.
• Familiar with computer networks (Ethernet/IP/TCP-UDP).

Responsibilities

• Develop latency-critical FPGA components in a fast-paced environment.
• Work with FPGA developers to optimize trading-system latency to nanoseconds.
• Contribute to design and validation of real-time trading infrastructure.
• Assist in building and running rigorous test benches using HDL tools.
