Job summary

SIFA Australia is seeking a Customer Service Operator to join our Virginia office team in Queensland. You will manage shipments from initial handling to final delivery, ensuring high-quality service and effective stakeholder communications.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in freight forwarding, are bilingual in English and French, and can work in a fast-paced environment. Australian residents or citizens are preferred; visa sponsorship may be considered.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding is required or highly preferred.
• Bilingual English and French is preferred.
• Australian permanent residents or citizens preferred or visa sponsorship considered.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email.
• Monitor shipments and deliveries.
• Coordinate operations with carriers, warehouses and internal teams.
• Arrange collection and delivery of goods.
• Prepare and verify transport and delivery documentation.
• Update customer records in the CargoWise system.
• Keep customers informed of delivery timeframes and delays.
• Handle customer complaints and provide solutions.
• Monitor invoicing and operational charges.
