Job summary

Bene Aged Care is seeking a passionate Lifestyle Assistant to join the St Pauls Residential Facility on a part-time basis in the Adelaide Hills.

You will design and deliver engaging individual and group activities to support residents' emotional, physical, and social wellbeing, while collaborating with staff to maintain high standards of care and safety.

Qualifications

• Current National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Valid Driver's Licence.
• Sound understanding of aged care related issues and person-centred care principles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage residents, families, and colleagues.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a diverse, team-based setting.
• Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate lifestyle programs tailored to resident needs.
• Support new residents as they settle into the home.
• Document participation and outcomes of lifestyle activities accurately and timely.
• Advocate for residents and address concerns with care and professionalism.
• Maintain compliance with aged care quality standards and organisational policies.
• Assist with evaluation of residents' wellbeing and provide updates to nursing staff.
• Contribute to safe, respectful living environments for all residents.

About Your Role

As a Lifestyle Assistant at St Pauls, you will design and deliver engaging individual and group activities to support residents' emotional, physical, and social wellbeing. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Planning and facilitating lifestyle programs tailored to individual resident needs
• Supporting new residents as they transition and settle into the home
• Documenting participation and outcomes of lifestyle activities accurately and in a timely manner
• Advocating for residents and addressing any concerns or requests with care and professionalism
• Maintaining compliance with aged care quality standards and organisational policies
• Assisting with the evaluation of residents' wellbeing and providing relevant updates to nursing staff
• Contributing to safe, respectful, and enjoyable living environments for all residents

What You'll Bring

Essential

• Current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Valid Driver's Licence
• Sound understanding of aged care related issues and person-centred care principles
