Job summary

Bene Aged Care is seeking a passionate Lifestyle Assistant to join the St Pauls Residential Facility on a part-time basis. You will design and deliver engaging activities to support residents’ emotional, physical, and social wellbeing in a structured, supportive environment.

Essential certifications include a Police Certificate, First Aid, and a valid Driver’s Licence, with Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or Certificate III in Aged Care preferred.

Qualifications

• Current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Valid Driver's Licence
• Sound understanding of aged care related issues and person-centred care principles
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Planning and facilitating lifestyle programs tailored to individual resident needs
• Supporting new residents as they transition and settle into the home
• Documenting participation and outcomes of lifestyle activities accurately and in a timely manner
• Advocating for residents and addressing any concerns or requests with care and professionalism
• Maintaining compliance with aged care quality standards and organisational policies
• Assisting with the evaluation of residents' wellbeing and providing relevant updates to nursing staff
• Contributing to safe, respectful, and enjoyable living environments for all residents

About Your Role

What You'll Bring

• Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle, Certificate III in Aged Care, or an equivalent qualification

Desirable:

• Italian language skills (advantageous, though not essential)
