Job summary

The Bays Aged Care in Hastings, part of the Apollo Care Alliance, is seeking a compassionate Lifestyle Assistant to support older Australians with person-centred activities in a 90-bed facility.

This casual role offers opportunities to design meaningful programs, work with a supportive team, and help residents feel safe, valued and connected, while meeting quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Lifestyle Assistant or in aged care.
• Certificate III or IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy.
• Certificate III in Aged Care is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• NDIS Worker Clearance held or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver individual and group leisure activities for residents.
• Develop and maintain personalized lifestyle care plans.
• Engage with residents and families to foster belonging.
• Collaborate with Lifestyle Team and care staff for holistic well‑being.
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Maintain accurate care records.

The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Lifestyle Assistant to join our team on casual basis. If you are passionate about a person-centred approach to care, this is your opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will be at the heart of creating joy and connection, designing and delivering meaningful activities that bring smiles, laughter, and a sense of community. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individual and group leisure activities that cater to residents' needs, abilities, and interests
• Develop and maintain personalized lifestyle care plans
• Engage with residents and their families to create a sense of belonging and inclusion
• Collaborate with the Lifestyle Team and care staff to support the holistic well-being of residents
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards
• Maintain secure and accurate care records

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2 year of experience as a Lifestyle Assistant and/or Aged Care -desirable
• Certificate III or IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy Qualification - desirable
• Certificate III in Aged Care (highly desirable)
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Currently hold an NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain)
