Job summary

Lotus People is partnering with a rapidly growing life insurance and financial advice business to hire an experienced Life Insurance Administration Manager in Sydney. You will lead a small team across Australia and offshore, overseeing day-to-day administration, workflows, and service standards while mentoring staff and expanding capability.

The role is hands-on, with responsibilities for complex cases, escalations and operational improvements as the business scales.

Qualifications

• Experience in life insurance administration or closely related financial services.
• Previous team leadership or people management experience.
• Strong understanding of administration workflows, outstanding requirements and case management processes.
• Hands-on approach with complex cases and escalations.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead onshore and offshore life insurance administrators.
• Oversee daily workflows, prioritise tasks and allocate workloads.
• Monitor team performance against SLAs, productivity targets and quality standards.
• Manage outstanding requirements, suspense items, backlogs and complex or escalated cases.
• Remain hands-on with life insurance administration, supporting the team where required.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
• Ensure effective communication and handovers between onshore and offshore teams.
• Work closely with senior leadership to drive team performance and continuous improvement.
• Support the adoption of new systems, technology and automation initiatives.
