Job summary

City of Canterbury Bankstown Council is seeking a motivated individual to develop, deliver and promote a variety of library programs and community events across Bankstown and branch libraries.

The role requires strong English communication, experience in delivering library programs, and the ability to build partnerships with diverse stakeholders. A Working with Children Check and admin skills for MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Eligibility for Australian Library and Information Association membership or relevant qualifications.
• Working with Children Check is required.
• Experience in developing, delivering and promoting library programs and events.
• Ability to identify, evaluate and implement new programs and events.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office and online databases.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and promote community programs and events.
• Coordinate programs across Bankstown Library and branch libraries.
• Build partnerships with Council departments, community organisations, businesses, and agencies.
• Promote programs through council websites and publications.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on outcomes and marketing effectiveness.
• Coordinate volunteers and participate in team meetings and professional development.
• Provide professional, customer-focused library services.
• Review policies and procedures.
• Roster desk duties as required.
