Job summary

The City of Canterbury Bankstown is seeking four dedicated Library staff to deliver high-quality customer service across Bankstown, Panania and Chester Hill libraries. These permanent full-time roles involve assisting programs, promoting services and helping run daily operations to support a welcoming, inclusive library environment.

Applicants should have ALIA membership or relevant library experience, a Working with Children Check, and a strong commitment to serving a diverse community.

Qualifications

• ALIA membership or relevant industry experience.
• Working with Children Check.
• Strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer service in a culturally diverse environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers, team members, internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Ability to prioritise workloads, follow instructions and work effectively with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality customer focussed and professional service and help maintain a welcoming and positive Library environment.
• Assist and deliver the library programs and activities and promote library services and resources to the community.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the team’s business plans.
• Support the team to meet daily operational requirements and maintain effective service delivery.
• Adapt to changing priorities and assist with a range of duties to support the effective operation of the library.
